Wolverhampton SACRE
Multi-faith Approaches to Diversity and Racial Equality
‘Multi-faith Approaches to Diversity and Racial Equality’ is a student led project which aims to develop pupil and teacher understanding of the approaches to diversity and racial equality across different religions and world views.
Through pupil/teacher conferences a bank of high quality resources for all secondary schools in Wolverhampton are being developed.
The project has four key aims:
- Strengthening RE in secondary schools, particularly within the Post 14 curriculum
- Working with schools, in particular with pupils and classroom teachers, to develop quality resources and develop a community of practice for RE
- Supporting schools in taking multi-religious approaches to issues of racism and racial equality
- Celebrating the diversity of our city through supporting RE that focusses on developing pupils’ personal worldviews
