Kidron Project
Creativity Counts
Creativity Counts is a seven-week course in which members take part in a variety of creative activities to develop their sense of self.
Creative activities include multi-sensory activities, walking and talking in nature, photography and creative writing to explore your unique talents. Workshops have been designed to be interactive yet short in duration to appeal to a number of participants.
It is hoped that participants will build habits, make connections in the community, develop more confidence and learn more about themselves through the course. For example, during the second session there is a multi-sensory focus, participants taste a lot of things, hear different audio clips, feel some things, take part in ‘spot the difference’ puzzles, to notice how each person relates to different experiences.
There is a lot of collaboration and fun in the group, participants are encouraged to give positive peer feedback and practice being in the habit of giving positive feedback to yourself.
Creativity Counts is a course aimed at people of all ages and abilities, no matter your interest or skill levels. The course is for the creative, the problem solver and the curious!
Creativity Counts is facilitated by Donna who is qualified in psychometrics, coaching, creative writing and as a neurolinguistic practitioner. Living and working in Inverclyde, in recent years she has focused on coaching young people and the development of community programmes which build confidence and allow individuals to realise their own worth.
Kidron Project’s mission is to equip individuals in Inverclyde with practical and emotional support that values the whole person. By ‘whole person’, we refer to the belief that people are body, mind and spirit, and that to improve a person’s wellbeing in one area of life, attention must be paid to improving wellbeing in every area of life.
The Creativity Counts course was made possible in Inverclyde by the Grant from Westhill.
