Dear God...
“Hardly anyone can ever find God because God is right at the end of your mind after all the background thoughts are gone.”

Reedham Passion Play 2017
What we achieved:

The play was a fantastic success.

As far as could be accurately counted, we had five hundred people watching – just the number we had insured for.  Although the distances between sites were significant (over quarter of a mile in three cases), everyone remained good-natured and we kept fairly close to our estimated timings.  The weather was just right – about 15 degrees with a light wind.  The day before and several days after saw much colder weather.  Everyone could hear what was going on.  The last scene was very moving – Jesus was heavily made up with stage blood and bruising, and had walked barefoot nearly half a mile carrying his cross (not the one used for the crucifixion itself, as that would have been too heavy).  Many of the audience were moved to tears.

We have made many good friends during the course of this play, some of them churchgoers, some of them not.  We certainly achieved both our objectives, and we know that many of our new contacts were moved by their involvement with the play.  We pray that in time they will want to risk getting a little closer to God.
